This calendar features artwork by Mitchell Davidson Bentley. Bentley's work has been featured on numerous Sam's Dot publications as well as elsewhere. Bentley has been the Artist Guest of Honor at several conventions, and has won awards for his work.
In addition to the usual holidays, Sam's Dot Calendars also commemorate many dates of significance to science fiction, fantasy, and horror, including Anne McCaffrey's birthday, Asimov's first story published, the Mariner IV flyby of Mars, Astounding Tales' first publication, Jules Verne . . . well, you get the idea. Come find out who did what when.
Finally, despite the Maya calendar problem, our calendars go all the way to the end of 2012, just in case.
